All legal documents
Responsible commerce only.

You are responsible for the legality of your store, products, claims, data collection, and customer experience. KANSO may act when use creates material legal, security, fraud, or infringement risk.

1. Scope and responsibility

This policy is part of the KANSO Terms of Service. It applies to anyone who accesses or uses KANSO, including account owners, employees, agencies, contractors, support contacts, and people acting through a customer account.

You must ensure everyone you authorise follows this policy. If you discover misuse, stop it, protect affected credentials, and notify KANSO promptly.

2. Unlawful or abusive use

You must not use KANSO to:

  • Break a law, regulation, court order, sanctions rule, or enforceable third-party right.
  • Sell or promote illegal, counterfeit, stolen, deceptive, unsafe, or restricted goods or services.
  • Defraud, impersonate, mislead, harass, threaten, exploit, or discriminate against a person.
  • Publish content that unlawfully infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
  • Facilitate malware, phishing, credential theft, surveillance abuse, trafficking, sexual exploitation, or violence.
  • Send unlawful spam or collect personal data without the notices, choices, and authority required by law.

3. Security and platform integrity

You must not probe, scan, attack, overload, disrupt, bypass, reverse engineer for circumvention, or gain unauthorised access to KANSO, its providers, another account, or a connected system. This includes denial-of-service activity, automated credential attempts, malicious uploads, forged requests, exploitation of vulnerabilities, and evasion of rate limits.

Do not introduce code intended to capture credentials, payment information, customer data, or administrator access. Do not interfere with signed artifacts, update checks, audit records, security headers, or validation responses.

Good-faith security research must avoid customer data, service disruption, persistence, social engineering, and public disclosure before KANSO has a reasonable opportunity to investigate. Report findings to support@kanso.gg.

4. Licence and distribution integrity

You must not share verification keys, use one licence on multiple stores, remove distribution identifiers, falsify a domain, alter a validation result, access another customer's release, or obtain theme files without an applicable licence.

Scraping, bulk downloading, mirroring, repackaging, public repository uploads, resale, sublicensing, and using KANSO source to create a competing theme or dataset are prohibited. The detailed Theme Licence continues to apply.

5. Store content and customer data

Do not place confidential information, payment credentials, health data, government identifiers, children's data, or other sensitive personal data in KANSO support messages, theme settings, store labels, or fields that are not designed for it.

Your storefront must provide legally required privacy, cookie, accessibility, pricing, subscription, shipping, refund, and contact information. You must secure Shopify collaborator access and follow Shopify's rules.

6. Fair use of service resources

Do not use automated tools at a volume that degrades KANSO or bypasses documented limits. Do not create accounts, checkout sessions, support requests, update jobs, or validation requests for load testing, resale, data extraction, or denial of service without written approval.

KANSO may apply reasonable technical limits to downloads, updates, checkout attempts, support submissions, authentication, and validation. Contact support before a legitimate migration or agency workflow is likely to exceed normal use.

7. Reporting a concern

Send suspected infringement, account compromise, exposed keys, illegal use, or security issues to support@kanso.gg. Include the affected URL, licence or account reference where safe, a factual description, and evidence you are authorised to provide.

Do not send passwords, complete payment-card details, recovery codes, or unrelated personal data. Knowingly false or abusive reports may themselves violate this policy.

8. Investigation and enforcement

KANSO may investigate credible reports, preserve relevant records, limit a risky function, rotate a key, remove access to an artifact, suspend an account or licence, or terminate serious or repeated misuse. Action will be proportionate to the risk where reasonably possible.

KANSO may notify affected users, providers, rights holders, payment partners, or authorities where required or lawfully necessary. Where practical, KANSO will provide notice and an opportunity to explain or remedy the issue. Immediate action may be taken for urgent security, fraud, legal, or safety risk.
