This policy never limits a refund, repair, replacement, price reduction, cancellation, or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live.
1. Policy summary
- Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through Billing and normally remain active until the paid period ends.
- KANSO does not normally refund a partly used Monthly period or a correctly supplied Lifetime purchase after digital supply has begun.
- If local law gives you a cooling-off right, KANSO honours it. That right may end when you expressly request immediate digital supply and acknowledge the consequence.
- Faulty, unsafe, misdescribed, or non-conforming digital content remains covered by mandatory local remedies.
- Duplicate, unauthorised, or incorrect charges are investigated and corrected where verified.
2. Cancelling Monthly access
Open the KANSO dashboard, go to Billing, and use the Stripe billing portal to cancel. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. Unless the checkout terms or mandatory law say otherwise, the licence, support, and eligible updates remain available until the end of the current paid period.
KANSO does not normally provide a prorated refund for unused days after a voluntary cancellation. If you cannot access the billing portal, contact support@kanso.gg before the next renewal and include the account email and licence number.
Deleting an account does not itself cancel an active subscription. The account flow requires active Monthly billing to be cancelled first.
3. Lifetime purchases and upgrades
Lifetime is a one-time digital-content purchase for one Shopify store. Once KANSO fulfils the licence or digital supply begins, the purchase is normally final except where a cooling-off right remains, the content is faulty or misdescribed, the charge was unauthorised or duplicated, or applicable law requires a refund.
A Monthly-to-Lifetime upgrade ends the linked Monthly subscription as part of fulfilment. The upgrade price is not a deposit or instalment toward another product.
4. Cooling-off and withdrawal rights
Consumers in the UK, European Union, European Economic Area, and some other regions may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. The period normally begins when the contract is concluded. Other countries or subscription regimes may provide different rights or renewal cooling-off periods.
Digital-content rules commonly allow supply to begin during that period only after the consumer expressly requests immediate supply and acknowledges that the withdrawal right may be lost once supply begins. KANSO collects that acknowledgement before opening checkout and records the accepted policy version with the Stripe checkout session.
If you withdraw before digital supply begins, KANSO will cancel and refund the eligible payment. If supply has begun after the required request and acknowledgement, the cooling-off right may no longer apply. If local law preserves the right, KANSO will honour it.
To withdraw, send an unambiguous statement before the deadline. You may use the model form below, but it is not mandatory.
5. Faulty or misdescribed digital content
Contact KANSO if the supplied theme is materially faulty, unsafe, not as described, or cannot perform its stated core function in a supported Shopify environment. Include the licence number, theme version, Shopify environment, steps to reproduce, and relevant screenshots or error text without sharing customer personal data or complete verification keys.
KANSO may first provide a correction, replacement release, installation guidance, or another remedy allowed by law. Where repair or replacement is impossible, unsuccessful, disproportionate, or not completed within a reasonable time, a price reduction or refund may apply under mandatory law.
Remedies do not cover defects caused solely by unsupported custom code, third-party apps, unauthorised redistribution, an unsupported Shopify or browser version, failure to follow documentation, or changes made outside KANSO's control.
6. Requesting a cancellation or refund
Email support@kanso.gg or use authenticated dashboard support. Include:
- The account email and licence number.
- The order or Stripe receipt reference.
- Whether you want to cancel renewal, exercise a statutory right, or report a fault or billing error.
- The relevant purchase date, facts, and requested remedy.
KANSO may verify account ownership. Do not send card numbers, passwords, recovery codes, or complete verification keys. A payment dispute or chargeback does not replace contacting KANSO and may cause the related licence to be suspended while the payment is investigated.
7. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method unless law requires another method. KANSO will initiate the refund without undue delay and within any mandatory deadline. Your bank or payment provider controls when the credit appears.
A full refund normally revokes the related licence, download permission, verification key, support, and update rights. A partial remedy may leave an adjusted licence in place. Tax adjustments and exchange-rate differences are handled by Stripe, the relevant authority, and your payment provider.
